Protecting our Surroundings
With 30 acres of Natural Resources, CI has a beautiful variety of habitats supporting a range of flora and fauna. Some of the species that grow on our site and rare and endangered.
Preservation and preventative maintenance can help keep these environments pristine for future generations.
Whether through invasive removal, trash clean-ups, or arboreal care your help in this regard is greatly appreciated.

Helping Every Day
There are 100's of ways you can help in this regard daily. See some trash? Pick it up and dispose of it correctly. Be a responsible dog walker and pick up their waste.
Group Volunteering
From time to time we will organize group activities to tackle larger projects. We are pleased to be part of the Keystone 10 Million Trees Partnership which seeks to increase the health of the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries via tree plantings.
There is far more work to be done before a planting day though. Clearing invasive growth, preparing the ground, and nurturing the seedlings are all required.
