Volunteer at The Conococheague Institute!

Volunteers at CI

Since its inception, the Conococheague Institute has prospered thanks to the dedication of its volunteer corp. From Research, Event Planning, Educational Programming, and Grounds Maintenance the time and expertise of Volunteers have been greatly appreciated.

As we continue to grow in size, we will be accepting Volunteers in new and varied roles, and you could be a part of it.

Requirements for Volunteering may vary based on position and need, but we are an equal opportunities organization and as such do not discriminate against applicants of any race, color, religion, national origin, sex, physical or mental disability, or age.

For more information look through the Volunteer Roles in their subpages that are currently available and find the position that suits you!

Announcement 2021 Volunteer Training! Wednesday 31st March 6.30 pm via Zoom

In order to make CI's Volunteer team more cohesive, we have conducted our 2021 Volunteer Training on March 31st. Thank you to those who attended.

This training to be held on Zoom will entail an overview of CI, its mission, and what Volunteers can expect.

It will make up one part of the Volunteer Certification process, the other being PA required background checks and on site training.

By conducting the certification process, it allows CI to be in line with other institutions. By having all volunteers trained, screened, and certified, we are protecting you, the collection, and visitors.  We anticipate great success for CI as we continue to improve our Site and Team.  We greatly appreciate your interest and participation as we strengthen our commitment to achieve CI’s mission and goals
